Brad Paisley was born October 28, 1972 in Glen Dale, West Virgina. He started playing his first guitar at 8 years old and started performing at age 10. At age 12, Brad wrote his first song. Many could probably see at this point that he would end up being a country singer someday, but probably not how big of a star that he is. Now Brad is 37 and is married to Kimberly Williams Paisley. They married in March of 2003. They now have two beautiful boys, Huck, who is 3, and Jasper, who is 1.
Brad Paisley is a major country artist in the country music world today, as of now he has won numerous awards. He has won the Top Male Vocalist award 8 times, 3 Grammys, and many other awards. Brad Paisley has had many hit songs. He has 15 songs that went to the top of the US country charts, with his first one being "He Didn't Have to Be." Brad Paisley has released 5 studio albums, with the first one being Who Needs Pictures. One of the albums, American Saturday Night, went Gold in the US, while he had 3 albums that went Platinum and 2 that went double platinum in the US. His latest concert tour is Water, which is based on his latest number one song.
When an album goes Gold, Platinum, and double Platinum, it refers to how many copies of the album was sold. The ranking of Gold means that the album has sold at least 500,000 copies. Platinum means that the album sold 1,000,000 and for every million it adds another ranking of platinum. Lastly, the ranking of Diamond means that over 10,000,000 copies were sold.
Some of the things above are the reason behind why I love Brad Paisley, but there are many other reasons. One reason is that he is a crazy person. I follow him on twitter now and last year when he was not on tour, Brad would come up some crazy stories that would be impossible. One story was based on James Bond, another story talked about playing polka for a concert and everyone loved it, and another was based on Mentos. Another reason that I love Brad Paisley is that he a down to earth person. He is a family man who does not appear to over indulged in alcohol, like some of the other musicians. You do not hear many stories trying to put him down unlike some of the celebrities in the tabloids. Lastly, Brad is a great singer. His songs talk about a variety of things, from alcohol to water. He also puts together some great concerts that incorporate many of his hit songs, along with some just guitar music. The guitar music lets me know that he is very passionate about his music, which is something that I am passionate about. I have gone to see Brad Paisley in concert twice for his American Saturday Night tour and Water tour. Both times, I was in love with everything that he did in his concert.
