Miranda Lambert

It's time for another blog.  Today we will discuss Miranda Lambert.  Miranda is a female country musician who has been on the U.S. country charts for 7 years after being a finalist on Nashville Star in 2003.  Miranda Lambert was born November 10, 1983, in Longview, Texas.  She loves guns and learned about them at an early age by her father.  This allowed her to become an avid deer hunter in her adult years.  Miranda's interest in country music started at the age of nine when her parents took her to her first concert to see Garth Brooks.  Miranda started pursuing a career in country music in high.  After her first recording session, she asked her father to teach her to play the guitar so she could start writing her own songs.  Then in 2003, Miranda went on a reality show called Nashville Star, a country version of American Idol, which she was the third place winner of the show and received a recording deal with Epic Records.

Miranda has had 4 albums so far.  Her first album was self-released in 2001.  Her next album was Kerosene, released in 2005 with Epic Records, that topped the US Country charts as number one with the album going Platinum.  The third album she released was Crazy Ex-Girlfriend in 2007 with Columbia Nashville with the album going number one in the US Country charts and becoming Gold.  The latest album Miranda has released is Revolution.  The album was released last year with Columbia Nashville and the album when number one on the US Country charts and also went Gold.  If you are confused at to what the Gold and Platinum refers to, look at the blog about Brad Paisley for more information.

From Miranda's albums have come many singles that have hit the country charts on the radio.  Out of these hits, she has a number one song and two other songs hit the top ten on the US Country Charts.  Her number one songs so far are "The House That Built Me" and "White Liar".  But her song "Gunpowder and Lead" (#7) has been in the top ten of the country charts.  Her current single out on the radio is "Only Prettier", which is #26 in the US Country charts so far, but I have high hopes of the song climbing higher.

Miranda Lambert has been doing good in country music according to the 7 awards she has won in the last 7 years.  So far this year, she has won the Academy of Country Music's Top Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year award and Video of the Year, the Music Row's Song of the Year award, and the CMT Music Awards' Female Video of the Year award.  Miranda has also been nominated 9 times for the Country Music Association Awards in November.  It will be exciting to watch the award show to see how Miranda does.

Miranda has been involved in more than her country music.  In May of 2010, Miranda has become engaged to her boyfriend of four years, Blake Shelton.  She has sung backup vocals for Blake on a few of his songs.

I have seen Miranda in concert three times within the last year and I must say that I am interested in seeing how she will prosper in the country music role.  Miranda has toured with Brad Paisley and Kenny Chesney in the past two years.  Her promotional tour for her new CD was Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars.  Miranda does a have special love affair of the color pink and she really loves her dog Dehlia.  Also from what I hear, she does not like to be pranked. I know this because of the pictures of her pink golf cart I saw that was vandalized by having the tires taken off when she toured with Brad Paisley.  She posted them on Twitter and was not happy with Brad about it.  She throws a heck of a party and will be fun to see what she will come up with.   I am sorry for such a random paragraph filled with random information but some of it was just too good for y'all to not hear about.
